2020

2020 – a double dose of maturity, but the maturity of what? Interpret the information as you see it, but one thing is for sure – something big is coming.

The number 20 in the Bible represents maturity. Proverbs is the 20th book of the Bible, a book of wisdom and maturity.

And the children of Reuben, Israel’s eldest son, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; Num 1:20

This reference of “twenty years old and upward” is found 40 times in the scriptures. Some interesting dates that took place 40 years ago or 20 plus 20. Forty in the Bible represents a period of testing.

  1. Egypt–Israel Peace Treaty signed 26 March 1979 but did not become effective until January 1980. We know from the Bible that this treaty will be broken at some point. See The Tower of Syene
  2. UNSC Veto April 30th 1980: The U.S.vetoes a Security Council draft resolution calling for the creation of a Palestinian state
  3. Jerusalem Law July 30th 1980: The Knesset passed the Jerusalem Law as part of the country’s Basic Law, which declared Jerusalem the unified capital of Israel
  4. UNSC Condemnation August 20th 1980: The Security Council votes to condemn Israel for the passage of the Jerusalem law and urged all nations not to recognize it. The U.S. abstains
  5. November 4 1980Ronald Reagan, the former Republican governor of California, beats President Jimmy Carter to become President of the United States

Twenty times Twenty = 400

  1. 400 years: Time between the last Old Testament book of Malachi to New Testament book of Matthew
  2. The word fear is used exactly 400 times in the Bible
  3. Abraham’s seed 400 years before deliverance:  And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years; Gen 15:13   Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world……Jhn 18:36
  4. November of 1620: 400 years ago the Mayflower carried the Puritans to the New World.

At what age can a groom come for His bride? At the age of maturity. Today, on this Easter Sunday 2020, the churches around the world are empty just like the Tomb. Is that a foreshadow of what’s to come? Is the fruit ripe, mature for the harvest? Or could it be that we are about to see the outpouring of the Holy Spirit like never before bringing millions to Christ in order to mature the church? The word Redemption is used exactly 20 times in the Bible.

In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Col 1:14

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Eph 4:30

Redemption: deliverance, especially from the penalty of sin

Do you see what is about to happen most likely before the end of Passover April 16th 2020? The first time in history of man.

Rapture, Resurrection, Reformation, Redemption – what will it be? Maybe all….

What If….

The writer of Hebrews tells us that we, the church, would be able to “see the day approaching”. That day would be the rapture and the end of the church age for those of us that are watching. Today in a sense, we know we are living in the last days by developments in Israel and around the world. But yet, we really don’t know exactly how close we are to His return.

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching Heb 10:25

Interestingly, the word approaching, is used only two times in the bible. Number two; the number for divisions. The other reference is made in Isaiah chapter 58. If you did not already know, the book of Isaiah is like a mini bible. In other words, every chapter of Isaiah makes a reference to every book of the bible in order. The 58th book of the bible is Hebrews.

Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins Isa 58:1 Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God Isa 58:2

In chapter 58 of Isaiah, the Lord exposes the hypocrisy and shallow worship of His people; then and now. The word trumpet is used as a warning against sin rather than the blessed voice of God calling us home 1Co 15:52, 1Th 4:16.

Much has been said in the media about the Trump administrations “peace plan” for Israel, its’ borders, and the Palestinians. We don’t know the details yet, but surely would involve monetary grants to some of the surrounding neighbors of Israel and the changing of borders with Israel and their neighbors. The Trump team recently recognized the Golan Heights as Israeli land. The details of the plan probably will not be released until after the Israeli general election that will be held on April 9th of this year. Will Netanyahu remain in office, or will another prevail?

We know by bible prophecy that this covenant, if embraced, will not last as God never intended for the original land He gave to the Jewish people to be divided. And we know there are yet many regional prophetic conflicts waiting to be fulfilled most likely before the beginning of the Tribulation. Some of those below.

  • Isaiah 17 – The burden of Damascus
  • Isaiah 19 – The burden of Egypt
  • Jeremiah 49:34-39 – Prophecy against Elam
  • Ezekiel 38 – Gog, the land of Magog

What if part of Trump’s peace plan includes the building of the third temple? Secretary of state Pompeo, whom is a Christian, recently posted a video on his twitter feed of his recent visit to Israel when he met with PM Netanyahu. Towards the end of the short video, it shows a model of what would be the third temple. View the video here: https://twitter.com/SecPompeo/status/1109083029430067200

Everything is already in place for the establishment of the third temple. Establishing the third temple as part of the U.S. backed peace plan/covenant would certainly be enough to get the ball rolling and would give Christians a real, undeniable, confirmation that the day is approaching and the church age is coming to an end! Then would we not “exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching“? Exhorting means to strongly encourage, comfort, and strengthen.

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate Dan 9:27

After much prophetic regional conflict occurs (listed above), Daniel 9 tells us the antichrist will confirm the covenant. The wording suggest a previous covenant (Trump’s peace plan?) had already been implemented to some extent (and obviously broken), and that he (the antichrist) would confirm it. To confirm something means to establish the truth, accuracy, validity, or genuineness of; to make valid or binding by some formal or legal act; sanction; ratify. You get the idea. The passage does not say the antichrist creates the covenant, but confirms it.

Keep your eyes peeled after the April 9th election to see what may be in store with the upcoming U.S. peace plan. One can always hope……

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Tit 2:13

….as ye see the day approaching…. Israel @ 70 YEARS

If we want to know where we stand on God’s prophetic clock, we must always look to the nation of Israel, for Daniel’s 70th week – the seven year tribulation – is all about the country of Israel.

The book of Matthew was written between 50-55 A.D. and Jesus warned at the beginning of chapter 24 that their temple would be destroyed.

And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. Mat. 24:1-2.

The book of Hebrews, written to the Jewish people, was written around 65-67 A.D., so the Jewish people were well aware of Matthew’s prophecy for the destruction of their temple by the time Hebrews was available. Hebrews 10:25 talks about an approaching day and later in verse 37 speaks of the soon coming of Christ.

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Heb. 10:25

For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Heb. 10:37

For the Jewish people of that day, they saw the day approaching as the destruction of their temple and was fulfilled in 70 A.D. by the Roman Empire. For today’s Christians, what would that day approaching be? It would be the 70th year anniversary of the establishment of modern day Israel and the soon return of our Lord to follow. Israel will be 70 on May 14th, 2018.

Some interesting facts on Netanyahu, current Prime Minister of Israel.

  • The only PM born in Israel since the nations beginning in 1948.
  • Netanyahu has been elected Prime Minister of Israel four times and the only PM to be elected three times in a row. The biblical number 3 refers to Divine control, election, sovereignty, volition, ordering, or perfection.
  • His first term was from 1996-1999 and the youngest ever PM elected. Since his last election in 2009, he has been in office for the last 9 years and is the 9th of 12 total PM’s of Israel.
  • He was born October 21, 1949, one day after Methuselah died according to Jewish tradition. Methuselah whose name means “his death shall bring” was the longest living man in history at 969 years and upon his death, Noah’s flood came. This year Netanyahu will turn 69 years old.
  • The biblical number 9 refers to finality, termination or fulfillment…arriving at the end. The biblical number 12 represents Headship, rule.

Do all of those 9’s mean anything? Maybe, maybe not. Though one can’t help but wonder…

So what are we to make of Israel turning 70? At the very least, it is with almost certainty, that God’s prophetic clock will start once more as much needs to be done before the beginning of Daniel’s 70th week and will take perhaps a year or longer to have all in place. For 7 is the number of God’s program on behalf of man; when God is doing something for man, as in the 7000 year plan for mankind or the 490 weeks for Israel or the 7 years Nebuchadnezzar lived as a wild beast in the wilderness. You get the picture.  If we are not taken out of here soon, we will see major prophecy begin to be fulfilled, and there are many waiting in the wings.

When do we leave? Well before Daniel’s 70th week as Jesus told us in Matthew 24.

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. Mat. 24:36-42

As you can see, it will be an ordinary day just like today when our Lord returns. We cannot confuse this passage with Jesus physical return at the end of the 7 year Tribulation because at that time, most of the world and 2/3rds of the population will be destroyed and no one will be getting married, given in marriage, or be eating and drinking in a celebratory way.

It will happen as Paul says “in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump, 1Co 15:52. Just like when we see a bolt of lighting. “For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” Mat 24:27. “And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord GOD shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south” Zec 9:14.

The Kingdom

The story of the bible is an epic fight for a Kingdom, a fight between Good and Evil. Since the beginning of the story, the KING has provided a way for each dispensation to make an eternal decision for which side they chose to join.

The most High God and Possessor of Heaven and Earth Gen 14:22, originally gave the kingdom to the high Cherub Lucifer Eze 28:14. After his fall Eze 28:16 and destruction of the earth 2Pe 3:5, the kingdom was given to Adam Gen 1:28 where he was told to “replenish” the earth. But Adam also fell from grace Gen 3:22 and Satan took the kingdom back 2Co 4:4.

Good and Evil already existed at the time of Adam and Eve Gen 2:9. The great accuser Rev 12:10 wanted his kingdom back and enticed Eve to eat of the fruit Gen 3:5. The term “good and evil” is used exactly 7 times in the bible. The fight between good and evil Eph 6:12 and the Kingdom will continue until the KING comes to take it by force Mat 24:30 giving it back to the saints Dan 7:22, but not until the message of the Kingdom is preached in all the world Mat 24:14.

The bible speaks of “in that day” 112 times, most referring to the 2nd coming of Christ. Do you realize that out of the 6 thousand years of human history, God placed you in the most exciting time of all? We know we are very close to His coming Luk 21:31 and we can see the day coming Heb 10:25, 1Th 5:4.

Israel recently turned 69 years old as a nation. Next May Israel will be the ripe age of 70, the years of a man Psa 90:10. The number of people from Jacob that entered into Egypt and later became slaves was 70 Exo 1:5. Israel was held captive by the Babylonians for 70 years Jer 25:11, Jer 29:10. The Jewish people had 70 weeks of desolation appointed unto them Dan 9:24. After Christ death on the cross, the temple was destroyed and the nation of Israel dispersed in 70 A.D. In this passage, Jesus is telling Peter an atonement for Israel’s sins and finish to the transgressions would not be in place until the 490 years of desolation pass; 70 times Mat 18:22…..

We have been in a calming period from a prophecy perspective since December of last year. It “seems” as if the world is normalizing – the calm just before the storm. Jesus said it would be just another day when He takes us home Mat 24:38, Mat 24:39.

He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. Rev 22:20

Where is the promise of his coming?

Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 2 Peter 3:4-5.

In recent years, Hollywood has made a few movies mocking the Rapture while the secular society has made a laughing stock of it. But, make no mistake, the promise of His coming is the Blessed Hope, His glorious appearing.

Now, in a recent survey of 1,000 senior Protestant pastors, only 36% believe in the per-tribulation rapture of the church while 25% believe it is not to be taken literally. In all, a full two thirds have a different view of what the bible teaches confirming just as the bible teaches of the last days scoffers.

surveyOther topics were also survey in the SURVEY. Confusion of all types is prevalent in the world today and so it is among the church; confirming that we are that much closer to the end. In a sense, all things continue as they were and will until He takes us home. Jesus said that Himself. You can read more about that in this post –

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Titus 2:13

When will Jesus Return?

That is the burning question in the back of every watchful Christian’s mind. When will He return? To get a better understanding of His 2nd coming, we must first look to circumstances surrounding His first coming.

We must first recognize His 2nd coming will consist of two events. The first is the Rapture, before the Tribulation, and the 2nd is His Physical return to Earth after the Tribulation on a White horse with all the saints behind Him. His first coming consisted of two events, His birth and the beginning of His ministry at age 30. At His birth there was “no room” for Him and He came in the “darkness of the night”.

And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. Luke 2:7-9

Does anyone have “room” for Jesus today? Has not the light of the church grown dimmer and dimmer? Jesus was also born into a generation that was unsuspecting of Him as seen in Matthew 2 when the wise men show up at the temple looking for the King.

Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. Mat. 2:2-3

How many Christians today are truly expecting Him? Prior to His birth, there was 400 years of famine for the Word of God (400 years between the book of Malachi and Matthew) prophesied in Amos.

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: Amos 8:11

Is there not a famine of God’s Word today? The are multiple versions of bibles on the market, many with verses deleted or changed from the original creating much confusion. The tried and true un-copyrighted King James 1611 Bible just recently turned 400 years old…..

Today’s world of instant information has given us a mental image of a chaotic life, an image of destruction, an image of fear, all in the anticipation that the foundations of the world will break down at any moment leading to Tribulation. But if we are honest, it is just that, a mental image. The quality of life today around most of the world is the best it has been since the creation of man. Don’t believe that, then pick another time period of history you would rather live in than now. Hopefully you will see the point I am trying to make in a minute.

Jesus said in Matthew 24:

And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Everything we see today is the same that has been throughout history since Jesus made this statement…..except…..the convergence of all these events for the first time that we see clearly in the mental image of instant information painted by the media, will lead to the Tribulation at some point in the very near future.

Still don’t see it? Look at the Bubonic Plague of the middle ages that took the lives of some 75 to 200 million people. Look at the atrocities of Vlad the Impaler, Genghis Khan, Stalin, Hitler, and many others. Countless millions were murdered under their vicious reign.  The 2004 Indian earthquake and resulting tsunami killed 230,000 people in one day. 9/11 lost over 3,000 lives in one day. One could continue on and one, but hopefully you see where this is headed.

Now to my point. Jesus said life would be just another ordinary day when He returns the 2nd time. Look what He says still in Matthew 24:

37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

This passage does not speak to the Tribulation, but the Rapture. Look again. If this were just a very chaotic world, much less a world of Tribulation, people would not be “eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage“, people would not be working the field or grinding at the mill during just another day at work; they would be running for their lives. Life was normal until Noah entered the Ark. Life will be normal until the Rapture. I did not say it; He did. Jesus says more:

42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. 44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. 45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? 46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. 48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; 49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; 50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, 51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Clearly we are commanded to watch for He will come when we think not, in other words, just another ordinary day and He will come for His church.

Remember the events of September 2015 with the Blood Moons and the Shemitah? It was perhaps the most anticipated and covered events out of the Biblical academia concerning the end times. Even the secular community was aware of them, but the events came and went without even a whimper. That is not to nullify their importance, for their significance will be revealed in the Lord’s timing.

Since these events, I am sure many are now saying:

And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

The Blessed Hope is not called Blessed for nothing. It is the Hope of the Blessing to be removed before the real ugliness starts at a time when “Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. Luke 21:26 and at a time when at least 1/2 to 2/3rds of the worlds population will die.

Don’t let the spirit of the Antichrist rob you from the joy of life, the Joy of Christ, as he has done to so many already in these final days.

Jesus is still coming……
