Today marks the 1st day of Passover and the 50 day countdown to Pentecost. In the book of Exodus chapter 12, Moses instructs the Jewish people to place the blood of a lamb on their door in 3 places in order to avoid the destroyer.
And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning. For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you. Exodus 12:22-23
If we draw a line from each point on the door the blood was put, it would look like this.
It makes a triangle pointing up towards Heaven and represents the act of man looking towards God. Now fast forward to around 32 AD. Christ dies on the cross for all mankind leaving blood on the cross at the hands and feet.
Connecting the dots we can see an upside down triangle pointing down as a sacrifice from God to man.
Combine the two triangles and we have:
And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. Zec 12:10
Trump officially recognizes Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, orders US embassy move.
So what does this mean for Christians? Quite simply, it means the return of our Lord is that much closer and we should be in prayer for Israel.
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. Rev 22:12
We have been following the story of Trump’s promise to move the American Embassy to Jerusalem essentially recognizing it as the capital of Israel. Tomorrow we shall see if he makes good on his promise.
If Trump delivers, we can expect the following prophecy, which started in 1948 with Israel’s founding, to amplify and continue to play out:
Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. Zec 12:2-3
One note of interest is tomorrow also marks 7 days before the beginning of Hanukah and on this day in history:
On the 25th of Kislev in the year 139 BC, the Maccabees liberated the Holy Temple in Jerusalem, after defeating the vastly more numerous and powerful armies of the Syrian-Greek king Antiochus IV, who had tried to forcefully uproot the beliefs and practices of Judaism from the people of Israel. The victorious Jews repaired, cleansed and rededicated the Temple to the service of G-d. But all the Temple’s oil had been defiled by the pagan invaders; when the Jews sought to light the Temple’s menorah (candelabra), they found only one small cruse of ritually pure olive oil. Miraculously, the one-day supply burned for eight days, until new, pure oil could be obtained. In commemoration, the Sages instituted the 8-day festival of Chanukah, on which lights are kindled nightly to recall and publicize the miracle.
Will the world change as we know it tomorrow and are you ready for what comes next……
Ezekiel 29, a most fascinating prophecy about the destruction of Egypt has been partially fulfilled. The bible says
“And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am the LORD, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel.” Eze 29:6
A staff is something you lean on for support and a partial definition of the use of the word “reed” in the Hebrew text is defined as a bone or shoulder joint. Israel has been leaning on Egypt for support since the summer of 2014 when Egypt’s head of government Al-Sisi, publicly announced a role in “protecting” Israel’s southern border at the Rafah Border Crossing to the Egyptian Sinai Peninsula. This has led to an ongoing warming of relations between the two countries where they share intelligence information concerning ISIS, Hamas, and Fatah. Recently Egypt agreed to extend the Egyptian side of the Gaza Strip buffer zone 1500 meters in width, instead of 1000 meters.
News article after article outlining the “friendly” relations between Egypt and Israel has been steady since that summer of 2014. The bible goes on to say
“When they took hold of thee by thy hand, thou didst break, and rend all their shoulder: and when they leaned upon thee, thou brakest, and madest all their loins to be at a stand.” Eze 29:7
On September 18th of this year, Netanyahu representing Israel and El-Sisi representing Egypt, met in New York for 90 minutes Monday night on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. This was their first public working session.
When they took hold of thee by thy hand
My 11 year old daughter and her friend sing “It is Finished”.
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. Jhn 19:30
As with all major “end time” events, finding the unbiased, human perspective that makes the most sense or is nearest to the truth is always a major obstacle. For those of us watching, it can be frustrating at times.
We are now 12 days from the September 23rd Revelation 12 event. Is it hype or Hope?? Watch the most unbiased, excellent commentary out there in my humble opinion.Video is below.
On another subject, the UN International Day of Peace is September 21st. Established in 1982, it is a holiday observed annually on 21 September and dedicated to world peace. What makes it interesting this year is the theme:
“Together for Peace: Respect, Safety and Dignity for All.”
It coincides with the 1st day of Rosh Hashanah and interestingly, sounds very similar to:
1Th 5:3 “For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape”.
Whether it is this year or next….. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh Jas 5:8
