Republican senators launch bill to move US embassy to Jerusalem

Senate Republicans introduced a bill Tuesday to recognize Jerusalem as the undivided capital of Israel and move the United States embassy to Jerusalem.

The controversial plan, which President-elect Donald Trump repeatedly voiced support for on the campaign trail, is almost certain to further inflame tensions between Palestinians and Israelis.
The bill was introduced on the first day of the new US Congress by Nevada Sen. Dean Heller, along with Marco Rubio of Florida and Ted Cruz of Texas —

Impetus!

Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.  Zec 12:2

The recent passing of UN resolution 2334 first proposed by Egypt, but possibly orchestrated between US Secretary of State John Kerry and US National Security Advisor Susan Rice and a Palestinian delegation headed by senior Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) member Saeb Erekat  is perhaps the first domino to fall leading up to Jerusalem as the official capital of Israel and the building of the temple.

It is interesting to note that the resolution was passed on December 23rd, but was already December 24 in Israel once it passed. That day was the Jewish month of Kislev 24 and after the first attempt failed to rebuild the 2nd temple under the rule of King Cyrus of Persia, construction resumed in the second year under the reign of King Darius, on the 24th of Kislev. The prophet Haggi had much to say about that day.

18 Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, even from the day that the foundation of the Lord‘s temple was laid, consider it. 19 Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth: from this day will I bless you. 20 And again the word of the Lord came unto Haggai in the four and twentieth day of the month, saying, 21 Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth; 22 And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother. 23 In that day, saith the Lord of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the Lord, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the Lord of hosts.

The passing of the UN resolution will do just the opposite of what it was intended for. Israel will never give up Jerusalem and her future decisions regarding the resolution will greatly increase the chances of 2017 fulfilling much biblical prophecy including Jerusalem becoming the official capital of Israel and the building of the temple. Keep your eyes on Israel.

On a side note, New Years has fallen on a Sunday (resurrection day) many times in the past, but this year….right after the passing of the impetus! Will 2017 be the year of resurrection???
