There are many reports that Vladmir Putin is sick and no longer able to lead the country. Typically, I would not post on something of this nature, but it may possibly be true. One can Google and see many articles will pop up.
If this story turns out to be true, it makes more sense from a Biblical Prophecy perspective. Vladmir Putin and Benjamin Netanyahu have always had a strong relationship and respect for one another. If another rises to power in Russia, we could first see the prophecy of Isaiah 17 and Jeremiah 49 fulfilled with the destruction of Damascus and Elam. You can search for those in this blog if you are not familiar with the prophecies.
The two also discussed regional issues such as Iran’s attempt to entrench itself militarily in Syria, which borders Israel. During his previous term as prime minister, Netanyahu worked out a deconfliction agreement with Russia whose army operates in Syria, to allow Israel to conduct aerial attacks against Iranian targets and their proxies without tangling with Russian forces.
Netanyahu told Putin he “is determined to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons and to halt its attempts to establish a military base on our northern border.”
According to the Kremlin, the two men “expressed confidence that Russian-Israeli relations will continue to develop consistently through contacts at different levels.”
Juniper Oak 23 involves thousands of troops practicing land, sea, air, cyber and space drills in Israel in an implied warning to Iran.
With the Syrian/Iran threat removed from Damascus and the Iranian nuclear threat removed, it would perhaps then pave the road to the Gog Magog war of Ezekiel 38. For this war cannot happen until Israel meets the conditions below which is currently not the case.
And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, Ez. 38:11
Regardless how this all pans out, time is literally running out. We are quickly moving towards the “Time of the End”. As the current Israeli administration is the most “far right” ever, we are bound to see something this year.
There certainly has been no shortage of “rumors of war” lately. China attacking Taiwan, North Korea against South, Iran against Israel, and the most pressing, Russia against the Ukraine. Will we now see the “wars”?
If you want to understand what is going on with Russia and the Ukraine, I highly encourage you to watch the video update below from Amir. Will this turn into an all out war between Russia and the western powers, maybe but it could also be the catalyst that brings in the many end time war prophecies that are yet to be fulfilled. I agree with Amir that Isaiah 17 must be fulfilled before the Ezekiel 38 war comes about. I would take that a step further and say maybe even the prophecy of Nuclear Iran and the Prophecy against Elam
The latest rounds of Iran nuclear deal should be wrapping up soon and will most certainly be more in their favor prompting a possible disaster on their Bushehr nuclear facility which is said to already house nuclear weapons. If that is destroyed, the next logical position of attack of retaliation by Iran would come from Damascus prompting the Isaiah 17 prophecy.
This may drag on for a while or may commence very quickly, but we must continue to watch, waiting patiently for our Lord.
Since the release of Amir’s video, the following has taken place:
President Vladimir Putin: I hereby recognize the sovereignty of the Donetsk and Luhansk republics.
Syria – the first country to recognize Donetsk and Luhansk
Iran’s supreme leader: This is the beginning of the post-American era
2022 will not be an uneventful year by any means both abroad and at home. Video posted below. The first is a quick review of America’s response to the Ukraine situation. The second is Amir’s update.
In the backdrop of the disastrous, toxic climate here in the United States, the prophecies of the Bible continue to unfold in the Middle East. Let us not forget it is Israel that is pushed to the forefront of the world for the end time era. One of the most horrific scenes will be the battle of Magog and Israel.
But before that happens, the Bible says that Israel will be dwelling safely; a thought incomprehensible today.
And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, to take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land. Ez. 38:11-12
Recently there has been a string of peace treaties between Israel and other Arab countries like Bahrain and United Arab Emirates. I am sure more are to come, but the big one is quite possibly in the works and could be announced within a week. Regardless of the time frame, we know it will happen as Ezekiel tells us it will.
Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil? Ez. 38:13
As the Magog force advances on Israel, Sheba and Dedan will be an exception. Sheba and Dedan, the great-grandsons of Ham have historically been documented to reside in Saudi Arabia with that linage reaching into the other Arab countries previously mentioned.
There is an interesting article here that sheds light on a number of issues: Saudis Say Temple Mount and Al Aqsa Not Important to Islam. “In further departure from Palestinian narrative, Saudis recognize Jewish connection to the Temple Mount”
When have we ever seen this? Look carefully at the tail fins.
But to be truly at rest without walls and gates, Israel also needs to eliminate the threat to the North and immediate West of its borders. That would be Syria and specifically the oldest continuous city in history, Damascus. The current Iranian threat against Israel is coming primarily out of Damascus. We know the fate of Damascus.
The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap. The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid. Isa. 17:1-2
This would temporarily put an end to the Iranian threat and any threat that Jordan (The cities of Aroer) may pose.
This is what this blog is all about since the very first post July 8th, 2014, almost 7 years ago – watching the world events take place leading up to the departure of the Church and the subsequent Tribulation period.
Watching – waiting – “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Titus 2:13
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was returned to office with expanded powers, the country’s electoral board said Sunday, brushing aside opposition claims that the results were incomplete.
Sadi Guven, the head of the Supreme Election Council, said that 97.7 percent of votes in the presidential race had been counted and Erdogan had received an “absolute majority.”
The citizens of Turkey are well on there way to full dictatorship.

Look familiar? Erdogan just won the presidential election in Turkey. Who is this man and what will the future be for Turkey?
Erdogan, the former PM fo Turkey, has like other presidents promised “change” if elected and has promised to “try to govern the country from the presidential palace despite the fact that the constitution unequivocally empowers parliament and its selected prime minister as the center of executive power.” He has promised he will not be a ““traditional president”.
According to one report “Turkey is facing the prospect of being transformed from a one-party and one-man state to simply a one-man state under an Erdogan presidency. After winning the election with 51.8% of the vote he said:
“I greet you with all my heart on this historic day, a trophy night of democracy and the national will,” he said. “All of Turkey has won today.”
“Today we are closing an era and stepping into a new era,” he said
Erdogan’s current relations with the US and other countries are not healthy at this point. “……is an increasingly isolated country, and not just in the West, where antipathy for Erdogan has been rising steadily over the past few years because of his abrasive manners. This is also the case in the Middle East, where Ankara has few communication channels left with regional capitals and where polls show Erdogan’s popularity is waning. His past claims about Turkey’s rapidly rising regional clout and global influence are now a distant echo.” The last statement of global influence and regional clout may all be about to change.
Erdogan is Sunni Muslim and has constantly insulted Israel in their defense against Hamas calling them worse than Hitler and accusing them of committing genocide of the Palestinians. He has also refused to recognize Sisi as the legitimate ruler of Egypt since the Muslim Brotherhood was thrown out.
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Turkey will protect its stability and beef up its power at a moment when there are very important developments in the world and the region, in an effort to make peace and stability in the region permanent. Erdoğan’s statement came as the country’s Supreme Military Council (YAŞ) begun its semiannual work on Aug. 4 under Erdoğan’s leadership and with the participation of top military and civilian officials.
Is Erdogan the final ruler of Turkey? Will he be one of the leaders of Magog coalition led by Gog against Israel resulting in the Tribulation?
18″It will come about on that day, when Gog comes against the land of Israel,” declares the Lord GOD, “that My fury will mount up in My anger. Ez. 38:18
Turkey’s strongman president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, tightened his grip on power decisively on Sunday as his ruling Justice and Development party (AKP) swept back to single-party government with an unexpectedly convincing win in national elections.
The high-stakes vote, Turkey’s second in five months, took place in a climate of mounting tension and violence following an inconclusive June poll in which the conservative, Islamic-leaning AKP failed to secure an outright majority for the first time since coming to power in 2002.
The result could exacerbate divisions in a country deeply polarised along both ethnic and sectarian lines; Erdoğan is adored by supporters who hail him as a transformative figure who has modernised the country, but loathed by critics who see see him as an increasingly autocratic, even despotic leader……
Disappointment reigned in a small teahouse close to the party headquarters as a small crowd of men silently watched the election result being counted on television. “I can’t believe this,” said a retired teacher of 59. “I feel heartbroken. [The AKP] steal and kill, they put pressure on everyone, they muzzle the press, but they still win. I have lost faith in this democracy.”
Russia, the great bear, has taken over as the leading power in the Middle East. The U.S. no longer holds sway. Putin has boots on the ground and planes in the air over Syria. They also have the aid of Iranian troops in Syria in their battle against the Assad opposition and have warned the U.S to stay out of the air space.
This past Monday was the UN’s 70th general assembly for the nations of the world. Russia, absent from representation the last 10 years had some very interesting things to say by PM Putin.
It seemed, however, that far from learning from others’ mistakes, everyone just keeps repeating them, and so the export of revolutions, this time of so-called democratic ones, continues. It would suffice to look at the situation in the Middle Eastand North Africa, as has been mentioned by previous speakers. Certainly political and social problems in this region have been piling up for a long time, and people there wish for changes naturally.
But how did it actually turn out? Rather than bringing about reforms, an aggressive foreign interference has resulted in a brazen destruction of national institutions and the lifestyle itself. Instead of the triumph of democracy and progress, we got violence, poverty and social disaster. Nobody cares a bit about human rights, including the right to life.
I cannot help asking those who have caused the situation, do you realize now what you’ve done? But I am afraid no one is going to answer that. Indeed, policies based on self-conceit and belief in one’s exceptionality and impunity have never been abandoned.
It is now obvious that the power vacuum created in some countries of the Middle East and North Africa through the emergence of anarchy areas, which immediately started to be filled with extremists and terrorists.
Tens of thousands of militants are fighting under the banners of the so-called Islamic State. Its ranks include former Iraqi servicemen who were thrown out into the street after the invasion of Iraq in 2003. Many recruits also come from Libya, a country whose statehood was destroyed as a result of a gross violation of the U.N. Security Council Resolution 1973. And now, the ranks of radicals are being joined by the members of the so-called moderate Syrian opposition supported by the Western countries.
First, they are armed and trained and then they defect to the so-called Islamic State. Besides, the Islamic State itself did not just come from nowhere. It was also initially forged as a tool against undesirable secular regimes.
Interestingly, Putin mentions the Middle East and North Africa in his speech. Eze 38:5 says ” Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:”. Ethiopia and Libya are located in North Africa. Persia is modern day Iran and already has sent troops to aid Russia in Syria.
Iran was on Thursday night moving up its ground forces in Syria in preparation for an attack to reclaim rebel-held territory under the cover of Russian air strikes, according to sources close to Damascus.
Sources in Lebanon told Reuters that Iran, which is the main sponsor and tactical adviser to Hizbollah, was sending in hundreds of its own troops to reinforce them.
Putin, whether he knows it or not, will soon fulfill prophecy. The author originally thought that ISIS would be the catalyst to bring those North African countries against Israel, but now could it be that the North African countries named in Ezekiel are the thousands of men that have abandoned them to support ISIS already present in the Middle East? Here is the original post if you want to read: https://lookingforthatblessedhope.com/2014/09/01/isil-a-factor-in-gog-magog/
It is also noteworthy that none of the Middle Eastern nations surrounding modern-day Israel, such as Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Gaza, the Arab nations and Iraq are mentioned in this war. That would assume Psalms 83 war, which eliminatesthe threat from those countries, is now imminent. ISIS, currently the enemy of Russia may join them in the assault against Israel once they become the victorin Psalms 83 war.
Make no mistake, by the time the 7 year treaty is signed, Israel will be a world power. They do have a Supernatural God to fight for them…..
‘No one makes alliances with the weak,’ says Prime Minister shortly after meeting Putin.
“We cannot solve the basic problems of the Middle East,” he said. “They are revealing themselves in their full force, and today our enemy is a double enemy: it is radical Shi’ite Islam that is led by Iran and its proxies, and the Sunni one, currently led by ISIS (Islamic State).”
“They fight each other, but they agree that we have no place in this Muslim region, as they see it. The alliances change, they rise and fall and rise again and send arms in various directions, including ours.”
“There is one certain rule,” Netanyahu intoned: “No one strikes an alliance with the weak. Our true defense in the years of the state’s existence and the 65 years that the Mossad is marking now, is the strength of the state of Israel. It is this strength that we maintain.”
“In the face of this changing world, Israel must be a power. Not just a regional power, but in some spheres, a world power.”
And make no mistake, Israel will be alone in their battles. But the One True God of Heaven will be with them. This 2 minute video clip is PM Netanyahu’s moment at the UN assembly. Words cannot describe the feelings here.
Incredibly the Parsha, a weekly Torah reading in Jewish synagogues around the world, beginning on October 3rd will be on Ezekiel 38:18 – 39:16!! See for yourself. TorahPortions.Org
The final Blood Moon tetrad for this century just passed on the 28th and Eze 38:18 says “And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face.” The beginning of the Tribulation????
While this battle is probably still a year out, we clearly see it forming on the horizon. Many will say it is still many years away but, is that really the case? Let’s look at the fig tree parable. Jesus said in Mat 24:32:
Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
Jesus is saying the generation of that day shall not pass until all these things be fulfilled. What generation would that be? The generation starting with the rebirth of Israel in 1948. Today that generation is 67 years old. How long is a generation?
The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Psa 90:10
So a generation is 70-80 years. If we take May of 1948 and add 80 years we get the year May of 2028 and if we subtract 2015 we get 12 years 8 months left. We must subtract the 7 year tribulation leaving us with 5 years 8 months left the Lord can tarry before His return for us. Do we really believe the state of the world can continue this long before the wrath of the Lord comes?
