Ezekiel 38 (Gog and Magog) on the Horizon

Russia, the great bear, has taken over as the leading power in the Middle East. The U.S. no longer holds sway. Putin has boots on the ground and planes in the air over Syria. They also have the aid of Iranian troops in Syria in their battle against the Assad opposition and have warned the U.S to stay out of the air space.

This past Monday was the UN’s 70th general assembly for the nations of the world. Russia, absent from representation the last 10 years had some very interesting things to say by PM Putin.

It seemed, however, that far from learning from others’ mistakes, everyone just keeps repeating them, and so the export of revolutions, this time of so-called democratic ones, continues. It would suffice to look at the situation in the Middle East and North Africa, as has been mentioned by previous speakers. Certainly political and social problems in this region have been piling up for a long time, and people there wish for changes naturally.

But how did it actually turn out? Rather than bringing about reforms, an aggressive foreign interference has resulted in a brazen destruction of national institutions and the lifestyle itself. Instead of the triumph of democracy and progress, we got violence, poverty and social disaster. Nobody cares a bit about human rights, including the right to life.

I cannot help asking those who have caused the situation, do you realize now what you’ve done? But I am afraid no one is going to answer that. Indeed, policies based on self-conceit and belief in one’s exceptionality and impunity have never been abandoned.

It is now obvious that the power vacuum created in some countries of the Middle East and North Africa through the emergence of anarchy areas,  which immediately started to be filled with extremists and terrorists.

Tens of thousands of militants are fighting under the banners of the so-called Islamic State. Its ranks include former Iraqi servicemen who were thrown out into the street after the invasion of Iraq in 2003. Many recruits also come from Libya, a country whose statehood was destroyed as a result of a gross violation of the U.N. Security Council Resolution 1973. And now, the ranks of radicals are being joined by the members of the so-called moderate Syrian opposition supported by the Western countries.

First, they are armed and trained and then they defect to the so-called Islamic State. Besides, the Islamic State itself did not just come from nowhere. It was also initially forged as a tool against undesirable secular regimes.

Read Putin’s U.N. General Assembly speech

Interestingly, Putin mentions the Middle East and North Africa in his speech. Eze 38:5 says ” Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:”. Ethiopia and Libya are located in North Africa. Persia is modern day Iran and already has sent troops to aid Russia in Syria.

‘Russia kills US-backed Syrian rebels in second day of air strikes as Iran prepares for ground offensive’

Iran was on Thursday night moving up its ground forces in Syria in preparation for an attack to reclaim rebel-held territory under the cover of Russian air strikes, according to sources close to Damascus.

Sources in Lebanon told Reuters that Iran, which is the main sponsor and tactical adviser to Hizbollah, was sending in hundreds of its own troops to reinforce them.

Putin, whether he knows it or not, will soon fulfill prophecy. The author originally thought that ISIS would be the catalyst to bring those North African countries against Israel, but now could it be that the North African countries named in Ezekiel are the thousands of men that have abandoned them to support ISIS already present in the Middle East? Here is the original post if you want to read: https://lookingforthatblessedhope.com/2014/09/01/isil-a-factor-in-gog-magog/

It is also noteworthy that none of the Middle Eastern nations surrounding modern-day Israel, such as Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Gaza, the Arab nations and Iraq are mentioned in this war. That would assume Psalms 83 war, which eliminates the threat from those countries, is now imminent. ISIS, currently the enemy of Russia may join them in the assault against Israel once they become the victor in Psalms 83 war.

Make no mistake, by the time the 7 year treaty is signed, Israel will be a world power. They do have a Supernatural God to fight for them…..

Netanyahu: Israel Must Become a World Power

‘No one makes alliances with the weak,’ says Prime Minister shortly after meeting Putin.

“We cannot solve the basic problems of the Middle East,” he said. “They are revealing themselves in their full force, and today our enemy is a double enemy: it is radical Shi’ite Islam that is led by Iran and its proxies, and the Sunni one, currently led by ISIS (Islamic State).”

“They fight each other, but they agree that we have no place in this Muslim region, as they see it. The alliances change, they rise and fall and rise again and send arms in various directions, including ours.”

There is one certain rule,” Netanyahu intoned: “No one strikes an alliance with the weak. Our true defense in the years of the state’s existence and the 65 years that the Mossad is marking now, is the strength of the state of Israel. It is this strength that we maintain.”

In the face of this changing world, Israel must be a power. Not just a regional power, but in some spheres, a world power.”

And make no mistake, Israel will be alone in their battles. But the One True God of Heaven will be with them. This 2 minute video clip is PM Netanyahu’s moment at the UN assembly. Words cannot describe the feelings here.

Incredibly the Parsha, a weekly Torah reading in Jewish synagogues around the world, beginning on October 3rd will be on Ezekiel 38:18 – 39:16!! See for yourself. TorahPortions.Org

The final Blood Moon tetrad for this century just passed on the 28th and Eze 38:18 says “And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face.” The beginning of the Tribulation????

While this battle is probably still a year out, we clearly see it forming on the horizon. Many will say it is still many years away but, is that really the case? Let’s look at the fig tree parable. Jesus said in Mat 24:32:

Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

Jesus is saying the generation of that day shall not pass until all these things be fulfilled. What generation would that be? The generation starting with the rebirth of Israel in 1948. Today that generation is 67 years old. How long is a generation?

The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Psa 90:10

So a generation is 70-80 years. If we take May of 1948 and add 80 years we get the year May of 2028 and if we subtract 2015 we get 12 years 8 months left. We must subtract the 7 year tribulation leaving us with 5 years 8 months left the Lord can tarry before His return for us. Do we really believe the state of the world can continue this long before the wrath of the Lord comes?

Middle East update….

The confusion, complexity, tension, and anger in the Middle East continues its rapid climb to implosion and destruction.

Israel is preparing for possible war with Hezbollah

Senior sources in Israel have revealed that the army’s northern command is preparing for a potentially fierce war with Hezbollah.

Saudi Arabia, Turkey Discussing Unlikely Alliance To Oust Syria’s Assad

Turkey and Saudi Arabia, two nations with a long history of rivalry, are in high-level talks with the goal of forming a military alliance to oust Syrian President Bashar Assad, according to sources familiar with the discussions.

Russia lifts ban on S-300 missile deliveries to Iran

Sources told Reuters more than a year ago that a deal worth up to $20 billion was being discussed with Tehran and would involve Russia buying up to 500,000 barrels of Iranian oil a day in exchange for Russian equipment and goods.

And finally…….

The official noted that cooperation between Russia’s state nuclear company, Rosatom, and AEOI is proceeding well. In November, Tehran and Moscow struck a deal under which Russia is to build eight new nuclear reactors in Iran.

According to the agreement, four of the planned reactors are to be constructed at the Bushehr nuclear station, already the site of one Russian-built reactor. The remaining four are to be built elsewhere in the Islamic republic, though the exact location has not yet been determined.

Psalm 83 – the beginning?

Arab foreign ministers meeting in Egypt agreed a draft resolution on Thursday to form a unified military force, in a move aimed at countering growing regional security threats.

The agreement came after warplanes from Saudi Arabia and Arab allies struck Shiite Muslim rebels in Yemen on Thursday, in an effort to check Iranian influence in their backyard without direct military backing from Washington.

The idea was first floated by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. The 22 Arab states often have different views on how to tackle crises and calls for a unified force in the past have failed to produce tangible results.

Operation Defensive Edge – now a War?

There are now 75,000 IDF soldiers in Gaze with the goal of demolishing the numerous tunnels Hamas worked to create during the last 5 years.

“We know that Hamas terrorists are operating underground, and that’s where we will meet them,” the IDF said in a statement, as Israel’s ground operation to find and destroy the tunnels got underway.  The IDF said it has already found 13 tunnels across Gaza, with 34 access points.

Hamas commanders believe they can fight on for several weeks at least to defend their tunnels, the civilian population be damned. Khaled Mashaal has reportedly continued to spurn calls for a ceasefire coming not only from Egypt but also from the Arab League.

Due to the size of the military operation, Israeli commanders are now calling it a war.

…..each task force, the size of half a division, is an integrated amalgam of air, armored, artillery and engineering forces, capable of operating almost autonomously in field combat. The buildup of the last 24 hours has expanded Israel’s fighting strength in the Gaza Strip to a total of 75,000 men, the largest ever fielded in this territory. Because of its scale, Israeli leaders are referring to Defensive Edge as a war rather than an operation.

Hamas has close to 100,000 fighting men, but they are clearly no match for the modern, advanced IDF. Why does Hamas continue to reject ceasefire proposals and draw Israel deeper into the Gaza territory? Do they have an ulterior motive? Is Hamas devising a plan that will involve its neighboring Arab factions and countries for an all out assault on Israel??

As the fighting continues, the world expands its show of hatred for Israel.

Israel-Gaza conflict: Fears that violence could transfer to French streets after night of protests

A Cup of Trembling

Hamas rejected the Egyptian proposed cease fire between Israel and the Palestinians. Within hours of the proposal, Hamas pounded Israel with rocket after rocket.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon ordered the Israeli Air Force to resume strikes over Gaza Tuesday afternoon, six hours after a ceasefire proposed by Egypt, accepted by Israel and rejected by Hamas, was due to go into effect. During those hours, dozens of Hamas rockets raked town after town and village after village.

Early Tuesday, US Secretary of State John Kerry was already heading to Cairo to take the lead in the Egyptian initiative when he was ordered by Washington to turn around and make tracks for home.
President Barack Obama had no wish to stand in line with Egyptian President Abdel-Fatteh El-Sisi and Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu behind their highly speculative initiative.

According to our sources in Washington, the real reason the White House pulled Kerry out of another certain fiasco in the nick of time was incoming intelligence that Tehran had ordered its Palestinian pawn Jihad Islami to ignore the ceasefire and keep on shooting from Gaza. This left Hamas no option but to follow suit.

Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman said Tuesday that “the State of Israel must go all the way”, and called on Israel to prosecute Operation Protective Edge to the “very end.”

Speaking at a press conference, Liberman said “the world must give us full diplomatic backing to go all the way. And by ‘go all the way,’ I don’t mean to deliver a blow. We must lead and end this operation with the IDF ruling the entire Gaza Strip.

Hamas had officially rejected the proposed ceasefire from the beginning, while militants from Sinai, Syria and Lebanon joined the fray overnight. Also overnight, two more rockets from Lebanon hit northern Israel, as did a missile fired from war-torn Syria. It marked the first time Israel had been simultaneously attacked on four fronts – Gaza, Sinai, Lebanon and Syria.

Turkey’s PM lashed out at Israel.

Israel’s approach to the Palestinians is no different to the mentality of Adolf Hitler, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said, accusing Israel of committing “systematic atrocity and state terror” against the Palestinians since 1948. While he welcomed Egypt’s initiative for a cease-fire between Hamas and Israel, Erdoğan said a cease-fire was not enough and stressed that Israel should “immediately lift the illegal embargo on Palestine.”

Israel is quickly becoming a “cup of trembling”.

                     Zechariah 12:2

Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.

Crafty Counsel

Hamas continues to pound Israel with rockets while half of the Israeli population are now living in bomb shelters. Hamas is trying to inflict the most damage possible.

3 rockets fired at Negev city which contains Israel’s nuclear reactor; 2 fall in open areas, one intercepted.

On Tuesday, Consul General of the State of Israel David Siegel told TruthRevolt Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro that over half of Israel’s population was currently hunkered down in bomb shelters thanks to the spate of rocket attacks from Hamas in the Gaza Strip. “It’s a very difficult night in Israel. Roughly half our population, around 4 million people are in bomb shelters tonight,”

“No country would ever tolerate even one of these missiles, let alone 150 in a day.” Siegel confirmed that Israel was drafting 40,000 reserves. “We offered quiet for quiet,” Siegel said. “They saw that as weakness. Again, they’ve miscalculated Israel’s intent…You’re going to see over the next few days a very significant operation.”

July 10th – The IDF is on the move against Hamas.

Over 500 targets have been hit since start of Operation Protective Edge; IDF targets infrastructure sites used by Hamas’s senior commanders.

The air force also hit 118 underground rocket launchers, including infrastructure designed for medium- and long-range rocket fire against Israel.

The response to the conflict from the world is very telling. One totally oblivious to the times we are living in.

“The international community is totally disinterested. Yes, there were a few press releases from [UK Foreign Secretary] William Hague and a few others, but generally the world doesn’t show any particular interest in this,” the official told The Times of Israel. “They’re either very tired of [the Israeli-Palestinian conflict], or their attention is elsewhere, or they want to go on a summer vacation and don’t think this story is important enough.”

The US no longer stands by Israel.

Israel’s ongoing occupation of the West Bank is wrong and leads to regional instability and dehumanization of Palestinians, a top American government official said Tuesday in Tel Aviv, hinting that the current Israeli government is not committed to peace.

In an unusually harsh major foreign policy address, Philip Gordon, a special assistant to US President Barack Obama and the White House coordinator for the Middle East, appealed to Israeli and Palestinian leaders to make the compromises needed to reach a permanent peace agreement. Jerusalem “should not take for granted the opportunity to negotiate” such a treaty with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, who has proven to be a reliable partner, Gordon said.

But yet Gordon goes on to say:

“The United States will always have Israel’s back. That’s why we fight for it every day at the United Nations,” Gordon said. But as Israel’s greatest friend and strongest defender, Washington should be allowed to ask some fundamental questions, he added.

Specifically, Gordon went on: “How will Israel remain democratic and Jewish if it attempts to govern the millions of Palestinian Arabs who live in the West Bank? How will it have peace if it’s unwilling to delineate a border, end the occupation and allow for Palestinian sovereignty, security and dignity? How will we prevent other states from supporting Palestinian efforts in international bodies, if Israel is not seen as committed to peace?”

No country on earth wants peace more than Israel.

Meanwhile Syria has threatened Israel.

Syria is making preparations to strike Tel Aviv in case Israel launches another attack on its territory, The Sunday Times reported on Sunday.

The Syrian army has begun deploying advanced surface-to-surface missiles, the report said, adding that it has received orders to strike central Israel in case additional attacks against Syria are carried out.

In a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Assad said: “If a crazy measure is taken against Damascus, I will need not more than six hours to transfer hundreds of rockets and missiles to the Golan Heights to fire them at Tel Aviv.”

Although the countries in the Middle East are tearing themselves apart, they have one thing in common and that is the will to destroy Israel. Psalm 83:2-5.

For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.

They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.

They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:

Is this more evidence for the Psalm 83 war?

Mahmoud Abbas is secretly plotting an all-out Palestinian war on Israel: Its ultimate challenge

As Palestinian-Israeli rancor exploded in a military duel with Hamas in Gaza, the tit-for-tat murders of kidnapped teens and firebomb-rock- wielding riots by Israeli Arabs, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu presented a calm front as though everything was under control. That front is about to be severely tested. The coming DEBKA Weekly out next Friday will detail how Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) is secretly stirring his people up behind his peace mask for a fateful war on Israel. He plans an all-encompassing, lethal “Third Intifada” to place Israel in extreme peril.
