Resurrection

If you did not already know, the rapture is the first of the resurrections and will include the Church age saints both the living and the dead.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. 1 TH 4:16-18

But, we would not have the ability to resurrect were it not for our Blessed Hope.

Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. And they remembered his words. Luke 24:1-8

Even the Old Testament Saint, Job was aware of a pre-tribulation rapture.

O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me! Job 14:13
The last resurrection occurs at the end of the millennium during the Great White Throne of Judgment. This is for those who did not believe.
And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Rev. 20:11-15

Will you resurrect unto life or unto death? Time is short. Put your trust in the Lord Jesus.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Rom. 6:23

The Key to Heaven….

Was hung on a nail.

The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head. I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O Lord my God. When my soul fainted within me I remembered the Lord: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple. 8They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy. But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord. Jonah 2:5-9

Whether you are a Christian or non-believer, we forsake our own mercy if we observe lying vanities. We are following after a deception or lie if we think we know what’s best for our life rather than God. If we think we can find happiness apart from God. It is a lie for you to think that you can escape from God, the call of God, or from the presence of God. Attempting to do so is forsaking your own mercy and will only result in bringing misery and disaster upon yourself. God is merciful, God is loving. Nothing is better than what God has in mind for you as an individual. It is the very best thing that could ever happen to you.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Only Jesus.

Passover

Today marks the 1st day of Passover and the 50 day countdown to Pentecost. In the book of Exodus chapter 12, Moses instructs the Jewish people to place the blood of a lamb on their door in 3 places in order to avoid the destroyer.

And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning. For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you. Exodus 12:22-23

If we draw a line from each point on the door the blood was put, it would look like this.

It makes a triangle pointing up towards Heaven and represents the act of man looking towards God. Now fast forward to around 32 AD. Christ dies on the cross for all mankind leaving blood on the cross at the hands and feet.

Connecting the dots we can see an upside down triangle pointing down as a sacrifice from God to man.

Combine the two triangles and we have:

And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. Zec 12:10

It is Finished!

My 11 year old daughter and her friend sing “It is Finished”.

Enjoy!

When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. Jhn 19:30
