Russia and the Burden against Damascus

Will Russia play a role in the destruction of Damascus to protect their interest from invading forces – ISIS? Regardless of whether they do or not, this is a very heavy movement on the Russian front to protect the Assad regime and oil.

Russian submarine with 20 ICBMs and 200 nuclear warheads is sailing to Syria

The world’s largest submarine, the Dmitri Donskoy (TK-208), Nato-coded Typhoon, has set sail for the Mediterranean and is destined for the Syrian coast, debkafile reports exclusively from its military and intelligence sources. Aboard the sub are 20 Bulava (NATO-code SS-N-30) intercontinental ballistic missiles with an estimated up to 200 nuclear warheads. Each missile, with a reported range of 10,000km, carries 6-10 MIRV nuclear warheads.

The Russian sub set sail from its North Sea base on Sept. 4, escorted by two anti-sub warfare ships. Their arrival at destination in 10 days time (September 14th) will top up the new Russian military deployment in Syria.

ISIS continues to gain ground in Syria

ISIS seizes last major Syrian oilfield

ISIS fighters are reported to have seized the Jazal field, Syria’s last major oil field, in battles over the vast central desert zone east of Homs. Casualties are reported on both sides. The Syrian army did not mention Jazal but claimed to have repulsed an attack in this area, killing 25 fighters including non-Syrian jihadists.
Rebel sources said: “The regime has lost the last oilfield in Syria.”

typhoon-Dmitry-DonskoyThe burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap. Isa 17:1

Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations (ISIS is composed of many nations and there are multiple other terrorist groups involved in the Syrian Civil War), that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters:(when Damascus falls to the opposition) but God shall rebuke them (God can use one enemy to defeat another enemy), and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind. And behold at eveningtide trouble; and before the morning he is not (Only a massive earthquake, meteor, or nuclear warhead can eliminate a city overnight). This is the portion of them that spoil us (Israel), and the lot of them that rob us (Israel). Isa. 17:12-14

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. Isa 40:8

President Francois Hollande visited the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle in Toulon Wednesday ahead of its departure for the Gulf and Indian Ocean. There was no word on its mission in those waters, but the presidential visit on the carrier’s deck, a week after deadly Islamist terror attacks shocked France, suggested operations were afoot against Al Qaeda in Arabia (AQAP), its Yemen headquarters and/or Islamic State targets in Iraq. DEBKAfile: If the Charles de Gaulle does carry out such operations, it will be the first time that a Western nuclear warship has ever gone into action against Al Qaeda targets.

Iran

In the eyes of most Iraqis, their country’s best ally in the war against the Islamic State group is not the United States and the coalition air campaign against the militants. It’s Iran, which is credited with stopping the extremists’ march on Baghdad.

The arrival of the Dhar family in Syria last month represents a key strategic goal of the Islamic State: to build not just an army but a society. The group has vowed to create a nation ruled by Islamic sharia law, and its leaders and online recruiters have encouraged doctors, nurses, lawyers, engineers and accountants to join them in building the institutions of a new holy land.

Entire families — fathers, mothers and children — have answered that call in numbers that have surprised and alarmed analysts who study the extremist group.

Egypt

Egyptian experts tell the Guardian the ruler’s anti-democratic decrees are unmatched in rate and scope

Is it possible that 1.6 billion people [Muslims] should want to kill the rest of the world’s inhabitants—that is 7 billion—so that they themselves may live? Impossible!

I am saying these words here at Al Azhar, before this assembly of scholars and ulema—Allah Almighty be witness to your truth on Judgment Day concerning that which I’m talking about now.

All this that I am telling you, you cannot feel it if you remain trapped within this mindset. You need to step outside of yourselves to be able to observe it and reflect on it from a more enlightened perspective.

I say and repeat again that we are in need of a religious revolution. You, imams, are responsible before Allah. The entire world, I say it again, the entire world is waiting for your next move… because this umma is being torn, it is being destroyed, it is being lost—and it is being lost by our own hands.
