Sweden’s new government is set to recognize the State of Palestine, in a move that will make it the first member of the European Union to do so.
“The two-state solution requires mutual recognition and a will to co-exist peacefully. Sweden will therefore recognize the state of Palestine,” he added.
He didn’t say when or how that would happen.
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas is set to ask the UN Security Council to vote on a resolution that would seek an Israeli withdrawal to the pre-1967 lines in a timeframe of two years.
Some Israeli politicians see in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s stirring speech before the UN General Assembly the final nail in the coffin of the two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
In his speech, Netanyahu made clear that the current “template” for peace has failed, and that Israel is not prepared to repeat the mistakes of the Lebanon and Gaza withdrawals in Judea and Samaria (the so-called “West Bank”).
Israel may consider the use of force against Iran if world powers accept a nuclear agreement that Jerusalem finds unacceptable, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu suggested on Wednesday.
“All I’ll say is, Israel always reserves the right to defend itself,” Netanyahu said, asked what his government would do if a bad deal was signed and sealed.
Pressed on whether that might lead to the use of preemptive force, Netanyahu said: “I’m the only Israeli who doesn’t talk about military operations.”
By now the whole world has heard of ISIS and their atrocities to mankind. ISIS is the original name given to this group of Islamic Jihadist and stands for Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (Abbasid Caliphate province in the region of Syria, or standing on its own refers to Damascus). Other names include IS and ISIL. Who is this group, where did they come from, and is there a connection to end time prophecy?
The rumor mill is in full swing as to how ISIS came about and who may have had a hand in their creation. Perhaps the most favored one is ISIS is a creation of the CIA in collaboration with Mossad (national intelligence agency of Israel). Some say that the leader of ISIS, al-Baghdadi is actually a Mossad agent for the purpose of:
The coming construction of the 3rd temple in Israel has taken another step closer to fruition.
A 60-day international crowdfunding campaign to finance the construction of a modern Third Temple on the Temple Mount garnered $105,000 worth of donations from over 900 donors around the globe by Rosh Hashana, the Temple Institute said Sunday.
“The funds raised from the campaign will be used to continue the research of the Institute and to commission additional architectural plans,” the statement said. “The architects will fuse Jewish law with modern technology to prepare for a fully modern Third Temple, Kosher to the letter of the law…”
Will the US cave on its demands and give Iran the green light to build? The fast approaching deadline to reach a nuclear agreement is November 2014.
The US, which fears Tehran may enrich to weapons-grade level used to arm nuclear warheads, ideally wants no more than 1,500 centrifuges left operating. Iran insists it wants to use the technology only to make reactor fuel and for other peaceful purposes and insists it be allowed to run at least the present 9,400 machines.
The tentative new US offer attempts to meet the Iranians close to half way on numbers, said two diplomats who demanded anonymity because their information is confidential. They said it envisages letting Iran keep up to 4,500 centrifuges but would reduce the stock of uranium gas fed into the machines to the point where it would take more than a year of enriching to create enough material for a nuclear warhead………
Intelligence Minister Yuval Steinitz said that Israel “strongly opposes leaving thousands of [uranium] centrifuges active in Iran,” adding that “this deal is reminiscent of the failed deal reached in 2007 with North Korea, which now possesses 10 nuclear warheads.”
Regardless of the outcome, Israel will not stand for Iran to build a bomb. Iran has repeatedly made the statement of “removing Israel” from the map.
In battling the political echelon for defense budget increases on Sunday, the commander of the Israel Air Force, Maj.-Gen. Amir Eshel, reminded everyone that the same planes used to attack Gaza over the summer could be called upon at any moment to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Israeli Prime Minster said Sunday night that Iran’s capacity to reach a nuclear weapon capacity in a short time is one of the top threats facing Israel today.
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. Matthew 24:4-8
In the verses above, Jesus is telling the disciples what will take place before the Tribulation. Notice He says “all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet” and “All these are the beginning of sorrows“.
In Marks account he adds “troubles”.
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows. Mar 13:8
Luke adds “fearful sights” and “great signs from heaven”.
And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. Luk 21:11
One can argue that these events have been taking place since the time Jesus mentioned them. So is there really any difference today? There is a fundamental difference today, and that is for the first time, all of these events are now happening simultaneously. Unlike in the past, we now have the ability to track these events and pictures thanks to social media sites, the Internet, and global satellite systems making it possible for us to follow God’s commandment to “watch”. Prior to this technology, it was not possible for the average person to know what was happening around the world. The country of Israel is now 66 years old since it’s prophetic birth in 1948. Jesus said that generation (of 1948) will not pass away until all things be fulfilled. Think about that.
Let’s look at each of these events. These are just a minimal amount of evidence. One can simply do a Google search to find many, many more.
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many
the number of big earthquakes during the first three months of 2014 was more than double the yearly average of what we have experienced since 1979? And did you know that the number of earthquakes in the central and eastern U.S. has quintupled in recent years?
Most Americans don’t realize that the greatest earthquakes in U.S. history happened along the New Madrid fault zone. Back during the early part of the 19th century, a series of immensely powerful earthquakes rattled the entire eastern half of the nation. Documents that we have from that era say that those earthquakes were so powerful that they were felt more than 1,000 miles away.
As Christians, we are not to fear, but find comfort:
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so will God bring with Him those also who sleep in Jesus.
15 For this we say unto you by the Word of the Lord: that we who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord, shall not precede those who are asleep.
16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first;
17 then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
1 Thessalonians 4:14-18
24 and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works,
25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as ye see the Day approaching.
