The prophetic, big picture is no longer fuzzy anymore and each passing day adds a little more focus to the times we live in. Libya spirals out of control as the violence of Islam continues to sweep the Middle East.
A neighbor to Egypt, and one of the countries listed in the Gog ad Magog coalition, Libya will be judged twice according to scripture. First it is included in the judgment against Egypt that will occur before the Tribulation.
3 For the day is near, even the day of the Lord is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen.
4 And the sword shall come upon Egypt, and great pain shall be in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt, and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down.
5 Ethiopia, and Libya, and Lydia, and all the mingled people, and Chub, and the men of the land that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword.
6 Thus saith the Lord; They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the tower of Syene shall they fall in it by the sword, saith the Lord God. Ezekiel 30:3-6
Then it will be judged for its part in the Gog and Magog war. It is important to note that Egypt is not part of the Gog and Magog scenario since its previous judgement is severe and many of the people will be scattered around the world.
2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,
3 And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: Ezekiel 38:2-5

Ansar al-Sharia is blacklisted by the United States over its alleged role in an attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, eastern Libya.
